Locale X Helper

A limitation in Android 10 and later prevents apps like Locale from toggling Wi-Fi. Similarly, a limitation in Android 13 and later prevents apps from toggling Bluetooth. To work around this, a separate free “Helper” app was compiled to run in Android 9 backwards compatibility mode.

The Helper must be downloaded from our website, because Google Play won’t allow apps running in backwards compatibility mode.

1. Download the Locale X Helper

   1. From within Google Chrome, follow this link: Download Locale X Helper

   2. After the download completes, tap the Open button

   3. Enable Google Chrome to install apps

   4. Bypass Google Play Protect

      1. When the warning appears, tap on the small text that says “More info”
      2. Tap on “Install anyway”

   5. After installation, return to Locale X
