A limitation in Android 10 and later prevents apps like Locale from toggling Wi-Fi. Similarly, a limitation in Android 13 and later prevents apps from toggling Bluetooth. To work around this, a separate free “Helper” app was compiled to run in Android 9 backwards compatibility mode.

The Helper must be downloaded from our website, because Google Play won’t allow apps running in backwards compatibility mode.

1. Download the Locale X Helper

   1. From within Google Chrome, follow this link: Download Locale X Helper

   2. After the download completes, tap the Open button

   3. Confirm installing apps from outside of Google Play

   4. After installation, return to Locale X
